Payment Methods
Pay your way, safely
All payments on Hormay are processed by Stripe, a global payments provider. Prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD).
What we accept
Choose your payment method at checkout.
Apple Pay and Google Pay appear automatically at checkout on supported devices and browsers.
Your payment is protected
We never see your card
Card details go straight to Stripe over an encrypted connection. Hormay never stores your full card number.
Bank-level security
Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the highest standard in the payments industry.
Extra verification
Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment (3D Secure) — this is a normal extra security step.
Common questions
When is my card charged?
Your card is charged when you place your order.
What currency are prices in?
All prices are shown and charged in New Zealand dollars (NZD). If your card is issued overseas, your bank may apply its own conversion fees.
My payment was declined. What now?
Double-check your card number, expiry date, CVC and billing postcode. If it still doesn’t work, try another card or Apple Pay / Google Pay, or contact your bank — they can tell you why a payment was declined.
Can I pay by bank transfer or Afterpay?
Not at the moment — we only accept the payment methods listed above. If you’re ordering in bulk for a business, get in touch and we’ll talk through the options.
How do refunds work?
Refunds go back to your original payment method. See Returns & Refunds for timing.
